Pace Keeper is a fitness application designed to assist users in maintaining their desired exercise pace or cadence. The app utilizes auditory cues, emitting a short sound at specified frequencies (beats per minute) to help synchronize movements. For activities such as walking or jogging, this translates to the ideal frequency of foot strikes on the ground.
Users have the ability to create custom "plans," which consist of various "stages." Each stage is characterized by the following parameters:
- pace (beats per minute)
- beat sound
- volume
- duration
- (optional) beats to silence
- (optional) emphasis beat
The app also offers the functionality to repeat stages within a plan, facilitating basic interval training, including HIIT and Tabata workouts.
Pace Keeper runs audio clips in the background, allowing for seamless integration with music or podcasts. Additionally, it can be utilized alongside other fitness tracking applications, enhancing consistency and performance in workouts.
